Background

From history we have learned that a concentration of power can also be very dangerous for a country! "Negative forces" like dictatorships because you only have to "manipulate" a few people and abuse them for your own goals. It is then a kind of hidden war against a country or company. And it works! In many countries, a president or minister often gets into office through the support of "negative forces" or their media.

What happens when powerful groups, such as the arms, finance, pharmaceutical or energy industries have so much power that they "support" (see John Perkins) the media, pundits and politicians to write or say what serves power or profit? With appropriate money, you can "buy" an opinion, get any study, or silence any study that doesn't fit. Or invite politicians into secret circles and then manipulate them professionally. Politicians don't have the time to deal intensively with certain issues and have to believe what they are told and whom they trust.

History teaches us that there can always be times when the government can work very much against the interests of a country. That is, the majority of citizens, minorities, the business community or the middle class. At times there has even been a destruction of citizens. This could also be done through vaccination. But many citizens make a country strong and vice versa. Why does something like this happen nevertheless? Certain groups have a high capacity of manipulating other people.

What can happen if power is not controlled?

    - Industry may produce products that break quickly because that is good for business.

    - Powerful industry may suppress innovations because they are often simpler in design and thus endanger the current expensive product or make it obsolete because it can be done differently.

    - The energy industry may ensure that alternative energy sources and methods that could reduce dependency do not become known. Only unreliable alternatives might be allowed to some extent, such as solar and wind.

    - The agricultural industry might ensure that natural fertilisers and methods to maintain soil fertility disappear in order to ensure dependency and profits with artificial fertilisers and pesticides.

    - The pharmaceutical industry could perhaps ensure that alternative low-cost and effective methods of healing disappear or are discredited, such as homeopathy.

    - It might also ensure that there are many chronically ill people, e.g. through vaccinations, because these ensure permanent profit.

    - The industry artificially stages great dangers so that people get vaccinated. Vaccinations generate maximum profit.

    - The arms industry may organise conflicts and wars in a hidden way, because these are good for business.

    - The power structures perhaps ensure through education and media that people do not think so critically and question it by paying trustworthy people to discredit critical voices and communicate the desired narrative so that the power structures continue to be funded.

This is all hypothetical, of course, but there is a great danger!

How can the policy be improved?

Perhaps through an independent well-mixed group or body that monitors the activities of those in power. Preferably with citizen participation, including volunteers. The quality can certainly be improved if people have enough time to inform themselves independently.

It is important that they have the power to make a powerful person in charge retreat. For example, by changing the responsibility. Through feedback, the government or corporate management can come to a constructive leadership. This also strengthens the popularity of the person in charge. This honest feedback can also be given anonymously by the competent group. It must be ensured that this group is independent. Transparency is needed for this!

In business, there could also be these competent groups within the company as a supervisory body, which also focus on transparency, legality and the reputation of the company. All major decisions could be made democratically by many experts.

Externally, the cartel offices are close to this task. Their tools could be enforcing the sharing of firms, monitoring the methods of increasing profits, analysing whether or not mergers are about the benefit to the common good.

Politically, it is certainly a win-win situation if representatives of neighbouring countries or relevant (business) partners from afar also participate in this independent committee. They can share the necessary experiences of the other country and vice versa, and everyone develops faster. The more minds working on a topic, the better the result. Since many different people come together in this control body, even from other countries, the people make excellent experiences and perhaps already produce the next president? Because he already knows a lot of what constitutes good governance.

So it is a win-win situation at all levels and the dangers of destructive politics or corporate governance can be reduced! There might be some concentration of power, but there is also a security instance to avoid disasters.

Good politics, summary

    - Powerful politicians can act quickly, but if they are manipulated, it can end dramatically. So why not have a debate on an issue? Then an anonymous decision by relevant colleagues. No one can be attacked or isolated because of the decision in this way!

    - Unfortunately, the media are no longer free and very much determine opinion. Therefore, the free media must urgently be consulted in order to get a more objective picture.

    - Obtain the opinion of citizens via surveys or contact forms on critical issues.

    - Competent citizen participation in government.

    - Involve as many independent but competent people as possible in critical decisions.

    - Competent working groups for certain issues.

    - Do not focus too much power in too few people.

    - Ensure that the advisory council is independent.

    - Involve people who are free from media manipulation.

    - A government that is aware of and includes critical voices is very stable.

    - Have an online discussion (with a leader or moderator) and then evaluate it. People have good ideas! Why not use this resource? And they feel they are participating.

    - When we buy expensive equipment, we consult at least two suppliers and compare price and quality. Also when making political decisions, it can be helpful to consult several partners to avoid serious problems later on.

    - When decisions are communicated by a group, it is more difficult for outsiders to put pressure on a specific person (bribery or threat).

    - Use neutral advisors with experience (ex-politicians?) and focus on the benefit of the country. Often others pretend to be advisors, but in reality they focus on their own goals.

International

    - Relations with neighbours are crucial for the economy, energy supply, peace and mutual learning. We learn from others who are different from us and ensure essential development. In companies they often use a "jour-fix", a regular meeting to exchange information and clarifications. Often it can be done very easily through a secure video conferencing system. We all know that there are many misunderstandings and there are solutions to all problems through communication rather than confrontation. If we remain in confrontation and hostility, there is a laughing third party that benefits from it, for example, the countries with high levels of arms exports and good psychological tricks.

Proposals for better politics

1) Direct democracy at all possible levels: At national level, but also at European level and international level. There would need to be a global democracy. At present, a few dominate almost everything, money-driven.

Binding referendums must take place before important amendments to the Basic Law and the restriction of fundamental rights.

Instruments are popular petitions, referendums and more, as in Switzerland.

2) Independence of the judiciary: Through direct election of a supreme court by the people, which staffs and controls the judicial levels (model Spain), or by means of direct election of senior judges, prosecutors and police chiefs at the local level by the people (model USA) - see also point 3.

3) Separation of powers between the government and the House of Representatives: The executive and the legislature must be clearly separated, just like the executive and the judiciary (point 2). Those who are supposed to control the government in parliament cannot sit in the government at the same time.

4) Ban on donations to politics. Full transparency of lobby contacts of politicians. More transparency of private donations, by banning the flow of money from legal entities to parties and politicians. Lowering the publication requirement from 10,000 euros to 1,000 euros per individual donation. An obligation to publish every contact between politicians and lobbyists. This would significantly reduce the lobby dependency of politics and relieve politicians. It would be a way to good politics.

5) Volunteer politics: More free and independent volunteer politicians could greatly improve the quality of politics.

Loss of earnings could be paid for political activity.

This could greatly reduce venal professional politicians.

6) Term limits: Only a maximum of two terms for all relevant political offices could limit corruption. After that, people could continue to work on an honorary basis.

7) Modification of elections: The electoral law could be modified in such a way that the direct election of MPs is abolished. Instead, the number of seats should be completely determined by open lists with cumulating (up to 3 votes per candidate) and the possibility of distributing the votes among different parties. Example: local elections in Bavaria.

8) Linking the number of seats in parliament to voter turnout: If only 50 per cent of the population goes to the polls, only 50 per cent of the seats could be filled, proportional to the election result. This would encourage politics to be more participatory and citizen-oriented.

9) Alternatives to postal voting: Postal voting is highly susceptible to fraud. The legitimacy of the act of voting is more important than a 100 per cent turnout. Digital certified voting options could be elaborated, such as the app Democracy now.

10) Direct election of relevant political supervisory bodies in public, municipal and state institutions such as public broadcasting, savings banks, municipal companies and state holdings (for example, railways, postal services). Effective control could be exercised by bodies that are not delegated by party politicians or people close to the state. The controllers could be chosen by lot, as in the case of juries.

11) Responsible politics and administration: For damages caused by wrong decisions, a regulation could be found that also has consequences for those responsible, as in the economy.

In addition to a basic wage, there could be a certain bonus system for successful projects and decisions.

This would spur politicians and administrators to better policies, more transparency and more direct democracy. Because people would naturally be more involved in the decision-making process.

The use of funds could be controlled by audit offices overseen by bodies elected by the people or competent representatives.

12) Polluter pays justice: Any damage to the common good by individuals should have consequences. This requires an honest analysis. A socio-ecological tax reform could also be a means to this end.

13) Subsidiarity principle: To control power, the political system should be as decentralised as possible. Cities and municipalities should have fiscal sovereignty and decision-making power. While the federal states, the federal government and the EU only take action if it cannot be solved at the lower level. Cities and municipalities could also give up their competences voluntarily and for a limited period of time.

To stimulate competition, cities, municipalities as well as federal states could be given their own tax sovereignty.

Summary

Power needs control through separation of powers, transparency, (lobbying, costs, damages, success) and must be motivated to accountability, for example with the polluter pays principle. Much could be done by business or industry. Like suggestions for improvement and rewards for successful implementation. More participation of volunteer politicians.

What we can learn of Russia? A peaceful multi-ethnically and multi-religious country

Russia is an amazing template for the complete planet! Russia is able to manage in a good way a multi-ethnically and multi-religious country without serious problems. Even in difficult times (economic problems) it remains stable! That means people base their satisfaction not only on the economical basis! Deep respect! Integrating all ethnics in a country ensure the best basis for development, because conflicts absorb a lot of energy.

Starting with President Wladimir Putin they implemented so many constructive reforms without violence in such a short time! With tremendous positive results.

Russia organized a very constructive “forum of people” to let people and NGOs participate in the political work by constructive impulses. And to ensure continuous input of people to the government, respect!

What we can learn of China? Fight against poverty, traditional medicine, security and more 29.5.2019

What we can learn of India? Diversity is a treasure, cleaning the beach, new rural communities

What we can learn of USA? Freedom generates creativity. Helping each other.

What we can learn of Turkey? Dialogue with people about good impulses (19.4.2019)

The government released a page to get in dialogue with the people and to challenge them to supply good ideas for the development of the country in all aspects. Respect!

What we can learn of Syria?  Minister for National Reconciliation

Syria has a minister of Minister for National Reconciliation (Mr. Ali HAYDAR). Respect!

Syria (and Libya) was a multi-religious, secular country which worked pretty well! A crime to destroy that treasure!

What we can learn of Malaysia? How to implement peace!

Amazing visions communicated by YAB Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia
We should be a developed country in our own mould. Malaysia should not be developed only in the economic sense. It must be a nation that is fully developed along all the dimensions: economically, politically, socially, spiritually, psychologically and culturally. We must be fully developed in terms of national unity and social cohesion, in terms of our economy, in terms of social justice, political stability, system of government, quality of life, social and spiritual values, national pride and confidence.

And a very good statement to ensure a peaceful world, thank you so much!

To achieve peace we now declare that:

What we can learn of Cambodia? Off-shore houses including fish-production.

They have houses for the family in the sea and below the house they make fish-farming in a big fisher-net. They can feed and harvest them direct from the house.

What we can learn of Brazil? Zero-hunger-program, how to bring people out of poverty

In 2003, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the former Brazilian President, had launched a zero-hunger program, which helped 28 million people out of poverty within two years.
Lula says that one should not consider poverty control as an expenditure but as a worthy investment. "In Brazil, it has proved to be a stimulus for economic growth as the poor have turned into consumers," he said. Brazil currently buys 30 % of the agricultural products required for school meals by small farmers. The country with the fastest growing middle class in Latin America is spending a total of 500 million US dollars a year. Twelve billion dollars are paid directly to the farmers by the South American country to help them escape poverty.
Overcoming hunger is not only a moral imperative, but "a decision for economic development with high social inclusion". In Brazil, the creation of formal jobs, the increase in minimum salaries, the strengthening of small-scale farmers and the implementation of money-transfer programs linked to certain conditions has pushed back hunger "assured Tereza Campello.

What we can learn of Bhutan? Satisfaction as a goal

The Kingdom defined satisfaction of people and happiness as a constitutional goal.

What we can learn of Slovakia? The privatization of water is forbidden!

The privatization of water is forbidden by law! Water should be a fundamental right of all human!

What we can learn of Sweden? How to generate justice, happiness and sustainable live?

What we can learn of France? A law against the waste of food, convert Mono-cultures to Forest-fields

What we can learn of England? Bring farming to the cities

What we can learn of Cuba?  Living modest, lucky and high creative, urban farming

What we can learn of the Islands El Hierro, Graciosa and Pellworm? Energy-autonomy

They supply their energy almost autonomous by Solar-energy, wind-power, hydro-power and generator (if not sufficient energy available) and Lithium-Batteries (short-term storage) and Redox-flow-Batteries (long term storage). For sure an energy-management optimizes the system.

What we can learn of Greece? Social cooperatives

In critical time new solutions are necessary and Greece founded massive social cooperatives, as well concerning services and health.

What the world can learn of Denmark? A system for mobility

In Copenhagen, they have an excellent system for mobility in the city including public-transfer, bicycles etc.

What we can learn of Switzerland? Public transportation, direct political feed-backs

They have a perfect public transportation-system with a very high degree of usage.

They have a very good system for direct political feed-backs of the people for political decisions. Prior online discussions (and feedback?) can ensure better results.

They have a very good system of local currency (“Wir”) complementary to the national currency and it works excellent and supports local workshops and trade. They charge no interest!

What we can learn of Norway? Sustainable fish farming

Norway has a very good system of sustainable fish farming reducing the antibiotics etc. drastically.

What we can learn of the Netherlands? Cities on water, driving bicycle, mealworm-food ...18.4.2019

The Netherlands have few space on land but the ocean is close. They already succeeded to convert the sea to land. Now they build swimming cities on the water. The feeling is sometime like on a ship, but they look very nice! Links: www.amusingplanet.com/2015/06/the-floating-houses-of-ijburg-amsterdam.html

Floating Homes  www.youtube.com/watch?v=oacdHI83DNI; Building a floating house, showing the concept of construction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qJV5SINA74

Cities are often seriously threatened by too many cars. People loose time in stop and go traffic. Holland has an excellent system to motivate for driving bicycle. There are excellent electric bikes for cities with mountains. Establishing a good infrastructure for driving safe bicycle is an investment in the future.

In Amsterdam and elsewhere they have excellent houses build in the water, using the sea for living.

In the Netherlands they produce very professional good food from insects, especially from the mealworm. This is a perfect replacement for meat as it contains proteins etc. If world-wide we follow that example, we would protect our planet a lot. Producing of food needs extreme resources and is not that healthy for human.

What we can learn of Vietnam? Common welfare is prior

A lot, a lot! The country was able to rebuild all after the cruel Vietnam war, which destroyed so much. They build it up in such an amazing way with few external support and few external funding only by busy and modest people. The strong middle class, the order even in big cities, very few desperate people and the very high educated, cultural and quality standard in all what Vietnam is doing generates a lot of respect.

Although many big companies are owned by the government (which makes the government strong!), they are very efficient, very modern and generate a lot of profit. How they manage that? They ensure that in one branch there are several companies with the same product but in competition. It works fine!

Motivating the army to contribute to the common welfare, Vietnam as template (14.7.2018)

Every country needs an army for defense. But these young people often feeling boring in this time, because there is not so much to do. We harvest a lot from our country, peace, a good education-system, a mobility infrastructure, social security, save water supply, electricity and waste-management. To get the consciousness and show the gratitude that nothing is natural, maybe all can contribute for a certain time to the common welfare. Maybe helping to take care of cultural heritages or elderly people or improving the infrastructure, water pipelines etc. Vietnam motivates the military soldiers successful to work for the common welfare. It saves a lot of money for the government and helps the young generation to develop themselves and to get more resilient. In Thailand young people go as well in the monastery for a certain time to get human and spiritual impulses of the elderly and experienced generation. Getting adult is a difficult process!

Business-Impulse: Organizing jobs for the army, manage security and transportation, catering, accommodation etc.

What we can learn of Argentina? Renovation of houses

The artist Benito Martin organized in Buenos Aires a very nice painting of the houses (search benito martin buenos aires el caminito at google pictures). A good looking of buildings makes a city look beautiful and feel well. Benito Martin was able to motivate the people who live there to join a renovation-program. Russia has some experience as well. Maybe by sponsoring a little bit and supplying professional craftsmen who can integrate the people in the bulk-work? Maybe a contest for the best one? Or like a festival?

What we can learn of Mexico? Making the city green and clean the air! (11.4.2018)

AurovMexico has found a beautiful way to clean its polluted air (search this): They make vertical gardening throughout the city in an amazing way! Respect! Looks very nice and is very useful to clean the air!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLJLssGvWg0a

What we can learn of Italy? Refugees on the country-side could be a success-story (6.1.2018)

Mayor Domenico Lucano of Riace / Italy and his community are internationally recognized as a symbol of integration and tolerance. Riace hosted people from Afghanistan, Eritrea and Iraq and placed them in empty houses. The school was reopened, new shops and studios opened by refugees and residents attracted tourists. The village, threatened by emigration, awakened to new life. Unfortunately, the successful project is now being sabotaged!

What we can learn of New Zealand, police only with a Taser and pepper-spray (18.3.2019)

The police is equipped only with a Taser and pepper-spray, but no other weapons. Weapons have the risk to kill somebody or hurt seriously but that is not the goal. He is necessary for later investigation of the case.

What we can learn of Mauretania (7.6.2019)

  1. Woman started a project based on Microcredit to dry fish and they sell the Fisch and Fish-Oil as well in the capital. 3 times as much profit with dried fish like selling it directly is generated! They feel deep happiness because of that success.

What we can learn of Japan 7.6.2019

  1. In Japan they make one plastic collection action every year with young people on an Island. In 2 days 120 trucks of plastic is collected. And the beach looks amazing after that.

What we can learn of Egypt 29.8.2019

  1. In Cairo many people are living in simple houses on top of other houses in a social environment like in the village. A good community takes place. They pay few rent and use the water and toilette-system of the house.

What we can learn of Germany? Dual system for apprentices, reuse rest waste, lobby-register, Democracy-App

What we can learn of Ruanda? The power and success of woman, concepts to avoid ethnic conflicts.

Social tensions erupted in the 1994 genocide, in which Hutu extremists killed numerous Tutsi. To avoid that ethnic conflict, the country made a law with the effect that people don‘t know who is Hutu and who is Tutsi. It is not in the passport etc. They live now very peaceful together!

On the other side woman play a very important role now concern economics and politics with great success. The country has a very high development rate!

What can we learn from Kenya? A village only for women who have been victims of violence 20.10.2019

In Kenya there is a village only for women who have been raped, often by foreign army personnel (650 since 1965). No one was convicted! When they told this to their husband, they were sometimes beaten almost to death for it. Then they left the village and founded their own new village, where now only women live. There they find peace and new vitality and contentment.

What we can learn of Religion? Get rid of internal emptiness, a constructive live 19.5.2019

Since ever religion was a valuable contribution for advices, how people can live together. But more that that,

if gives people hope, internal peace and a sense of life for live.

The feeling of charity is within human, not only religious people live that. They are smart to realize that by

that, development for themselves is possible as well.

If somebody is falling in love, he will experience tremendous energy. Religious people feel this kind of love

to the creature of the world (they say that), that they can get unlimited energy. So it is clever somehow.

The ceremony in the Temples and Churches give the people the feeling of community and being united. Scientific

people in GB discovered that and consider it as highly intelligent pattern. So they make ceremonies

now, similar to that but without a specific religion. Here some examples from different religions

What we can learn of the Islam (example Bahai-religion)

According to the belief of the Bahai, man is closest to God of all creation, because he was endowed with free

will, reason, an immortal soul and the ability to recognize God and make a alliance with Him. Life is seen as

a continuous mystical journey to God. Heaven and hell correlate with proximity or distance to God. Man can

attain a certain "unity" with God already during his lifetime. Life in this world is destined to develop spiritual

abilities that are needed for life in the hereafter. Spiritual abilities are virtues such as charity, gratitude,

trustworthiness, trust in God, humility and patience. Hard asceticism and withdrawal from the world are rejected

just as much as a hedonistic life in abundance. The "right measure" is crucial and service to the whole

human race, the criterion of true humanity. Social commitment and social responsibility, the active shaping

of the world, are regarded as natural consequences of individual spirituality and cannot be separated from it.

Human mind / reason is very importance, even if it alone can mislead. The essence of human is his immortal

soul, which bears no separating characteristics of race or sex. The body is called the temple of human, which

needs appreciation / esteem as well.

What we can learn of the Jewish religion

Is a Source of genius impulses to advice human.

The Lord says, "I hate your... burnt offerings and meat offerings... Law and justice should fill the land like a

river that never dries up”. Amos 5,21-27

The Lord said: Revenge is mine; I will repay. 5.Mose 32:35. So we don’t need to worry about that!

What we can learn of the Christian religion

In the Christian religion, the relation to Jesus is crucial as source of happiness, energy and hope.

Love is the basic element. 1Cor. 13, 3: And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender

my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is kind and is not

jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not

provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with

the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Justice, Peace, beware of the creation (nature) as basic elements. Beside that humility and mercy and community

are crucial elements.

But charity is a big topic: Hebr 13,16 Do not forget to do good and to share with others;

Ephesians 2, 10: We are all together God's work of art, created in Jesus Christ, to create good deeds.

(Matthew 25, 35.36.40) For I was hungry and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me to drink; I

was a migrant and a stranger and you welcomed me; I was naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you

visited me; I was in prison and you came to me. Truly I say to you: What you did to one of these of my

brothers and sisters, you did to me.

Celebrating the religion together and individual is part of religious live.

What we can learn of the Buddhism

Is a symbol for peace and constructive living together. There is a high culture of learning in communities a

constructive live. Living in Peace and harmony is realized and the world can learn a lot from that. A deep

wisdom is waiting to be discovered

What we can learn of the Hinduism

Meditation and Yoga are elements that contribute a lot to a peaceful and relaxed live. Thank for that precious

elements to the world culture!

Sorry, these are only tiny fragments, reflecting just little of the cosmos of religions. It will be extended!

What we can learn of Karl Marx? (24.7.2018)

For Marx, the difference between a way of working that serves "capital" and the multiplication of profit and one that serves human is as total as the difference between life and death, man and thing, having and being. For Karl Marx, capital is the accumulated, the past and ultimately the dead. But the living shall reign over the dead, being over having.
For Marx, not alienated work is the basic for human freedom and independence and an act of "self-creation".  Only when I undergo the effort to express myself do I become human.
My dignity as a human being is constantly violated by directing my basic needs for good relations, communion, appreciation and happiness towards consumption.
Through my "free, conscious activity", through work which is "life-producing life", I become a unique expression of life.
Love can only be exchanged for love, trust only for trust. If your expression of life as a loving person does not make you a loved one, your love is powerless. A text / statement etc. should be an expression of my real, individual life and my liveliness, and "stimulating and beneficial" to other people. If you want to influence others, you must be a truly stimulating and beneficial person to others.
Human can only thrive with nature and as nature. My body connects me with nature as my "organic body". I use oxygen, water and food, which transforms the metabolism into the body's own substance. The carbon dioxide I exhale serves the plants to grow, to produce their own body substance. If I wanted to hold the material, make it to my property - if I wanted to stop sharing and exchanging with others - that would be my
death. The exchange with the world is transformation in reciprocity. We develop and progress through others! My liveliness guarantees the liveliness of others, my fellow world and vice versa. This "active relationship between man and the world" is what Marx calls "productive life". To be productive means to grasp the world and to recreate it through one's own creative powers, to make it more alive. In spiritual exchange with you, we both transform. Because life and being alive is a gift in itself, it cannot be sold. It can only be given away. Then it remains effective and becomes fertile for all.
In the "unexplored possibilities" of each individual and of all humanity lies the creative potential of mankind. Karl Marx's way of thinking (dialectically) does not separate the world, it remains united. The "understanding of the context" is essential. In the ongoing creative process of bringing all together, alienation can be overcome.
(based on an article of Margit Geilenbrügge “serving the live” in www.rubikon.news 27.6.2018)

Maybe the middle way, the best of both ideologies might ensure a good balance?
